Our vision is for a world where no one is needlessly blind, and Indigenous Australians enjoy the same health and life expectancy as other Australians.
| Who we are |
We are an international development organisation, focussing on blindness prevention and Australian Indigenous health. We are independent, non-profit, politically unaligned and secular.
| Our Inspiration |
We carry on the work of the late Professor Fred Hollows (1929-1993). Fred was an eye doctor, a skilled surgeon of international renown, a champion of the right of all people to good health and a strong advocate for social justice.

| We work for a world where no-one is needlessly blind and Indigenous Australians enjoy the same life expectancy as other Australians. |
| Where we work |
We work with local blindness prevention and health organisations throughout the world. We currently have programs operating in Africa, Asia and Australia.

| Our Achievements |
In 2006, we carried out an amazing 73,838 cataract operations and other sight saving interventions and examined over one million people, providing essential eye care to some of the world's poorest regions.
