We are an international development organisation, focussing on blindness prevention and Australian Indigenous health. We are independent, non-profit, politically unaligned and secular.

| Our Inspiration |

|
We carry on the work of the late Professor Fred Hollows (1929-1993). Fred was an eye doctor, a skilled surgeon of international renown, a champion of the right of all people to good health and a strong advocate for social justice.

In 2010 we performed 194,903 eye operations and treatments. We examined over 1.3 million people, and trained 12,961 health professionals, providing essential eye care to some of the world's poorest regions.
