
In December 2009, The Foundation held another school screening camp to tackle childhood blindness and refractive error in Afghanistan.

Out of a total of 2,053 children screened, 110 were provided with glasses and 37 children and teachers were referred for more specialised examination and treatment. A further two students were referred for cataract surgery.
