Dr Zareen Khair began working with The Fred Hollows Foundation as Program Manager in March 2008. Since commencing in the role, Dr Khair has worked to establish an office for The Foundation, gain registration, build an in-country team and develop program activities.

Dr Khair has over 20 years experience with organisations such as CARE Bangladesh - working as an Urban Program Coordinator, a Country Representative for Thailand and Regional Coordinator for the Greater Mekong Region (based in Bangkok). Additionally, she has worked with USAID (Senior Program Specialist) and with the World Food Program (Monitoring and Evaluating Officer).

Dr Khair has a BA (Honours) in Sociology, MA in Sociology and PhD in Anthropology and speaks Bangla, English, Urdu and Hindi.
