
Sami Lukis is a well known Australian radio and television reporter and is currently newsreader and presenter with the Merrick & Rosso Breakfast Show on Sydney's Nova 969. Sami is also a regular presenter on Fox Sports News.
Sami has spent the last ten years in television where she is well known for her three year stint as the Today show's travelling weather presenter. While at Channel 9, Sami also hosted the reality series Loves Me, Loves Me Not and co-hosted the network's New Years Eve and Logies Red Carpet specials.
Prior to working at Channel 9, Sami spent four years at Network Ten, where she was a reporter and segment producer on the long running children's program Totally Wild.
While at Ten, Sami was also a reporter on Big Brother (series one) and host of the reality show Shipwrecked, Blue Planet, Totally Wild Rescue, Video Hits: Funk! The Millenium and on New Years Eve specials. Sami also regularly presented the weather on Sydney's 5pm News Bulletin and was a regular on Good Morning Australia.
Sami graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Communication, majoring in Film and Television with a minor in Journalism.
In her final year at university, Sami was awarded the Federation of Radio Broadcasters Prize, for the most outstanding student in broadcast journalism.
Sami became an Ambassador with The Fred Hollows Foundation in 2006 to first help promote I Care Day. Sami now helps to generally promote The Foundation's work.
