The Donations and Database Coordinator is a Sydney based position which is responsible for the processing of gifts from various sources eg: cash, online, fundraising events, See The World and providing excellent levels of supporter servicing.

 Outbound Call Specialist

The primary responsibility of the Outbound Call Specialist is to contact The Fred Hollows Foundation’s (FHF) supporters by telephone and/or correspondence to build excellent supporter relationships and grow single gift and regular giving income. This role is based in Sydney.

Archivist 

This part-time (0.5 of a position) fixed term (until the end of 2010) position will be responsible for the management, organisation and maintenance of materials that have historical importance to The Foundation. This role is based in Sydney and will be part of the Information Services division.

Executive Support 

This position will provide high level administrative support to the Strategic Management Group (SMG) and the Board and will form part of the Administration team. The Executive Support is a permanent full time position based in Sydney and will require some out of normal office hours work to accommodate for meetings.

Central Australia Eye Health (CAEH) Project and Administration Officer

This is a 1 year full time positon based in Alice Springs to be involved in the project management and administration of The Foundation's eye health initiatives in Central Australia.

Program Coordinator - China Program

The Program Coordinator is a 1 year full time fixed term maternity leave position based in The Foundation's Sydney office. This position is responsible for the support, coordination and development of the China Program and will assure the delivery of high quality and and sustainable Program and Project outputs.

Volunteer information

Volunteering at Home

The Foundation welcomes enquiries from interested people to volunteer in our Australian offices. These opportunities generally involve administrative support to our Australasian based staff. Please contact us in Australia for further information.

Current opportunities: Mail Openers

The Fred Hollows Foundation has recently relocated to Rosebery. We would love the support of local volunteers to help with our peak mail opening period in the lead up to Christmas.

  • 9am-11am Monday to Friday, from November 9 to December 23 2009
  • Required at least two days per week
  • Training provided, no experience necessary

Volunteering Overseas

The Foundation does not generally place volunteers in our international programs. This is because we aim to develop the skills and capacity of local people in the disadvantaged communities we work within.
