Volunteering in Australia

We rely on our super team of volunteers in Sydney to keep our global sight-saving work going. Volunteers help out with sorting through donor mail, making up marketing material and sending out receipts.

We are currently recruiting for our major appeal which begins on 1 May 2012. If you’ve ever considered volunteering, now is the time to get involved!

Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator Nat Newman (02) 8741 1900 or submit this online form with your details.

Volunteering overseas

The Foundation does not generally place volunteers in our international programs. We aim to develop the skills and capacity of local people in the communities we work within.

The Australian Volunteers International website may be worth a visit if you are interested in these kinds of opportunities.

What we can do

Help keep Fred’s dream alive.

3 out of 4 people who are blind in the developing world don't need to be. Routine treatment costing as little as $25 can restore sight and hope.
