The Fred Hollows Foundation calls for volunteers

The Foundation relies on the goodwill of many Australians to continue Fred’s work. One way that people can help is to volunteer in our Sydney office.

Volunteer co-ordinator Caitlin Macdonald said that The Foundation needs particular support with duties such as mail opening and response.

“Every volunteer who helps with opening, sorting and entering of donations plays a vital role that leads to a surgeon being able to perform an eye operation somewhere in the world,” said Macdonald.

“We couldn’t be more appreciative of the fantastic volunteers who come to our Rosebery office to assist in different ways.

"If you have been thinking about volunteering, now is the perfect time to get in touch with The Foundation and join the team.”

Most of The Foundation’s volunteers contribute between two hours and two days per week to assist with processing donations at our Rosebery office, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Volunteers are needed on all weekdays. Training is provided.

To register your interest in volunteering with The Foundation, phone volunteer co-ordinator Caitlin Macdonald on 8741 1995 or email cmacdonald@hollows.org

What we can do

Help keep Fred’s dream alive.

3 out of 4 people who are blind in the developing world don't need to be. Routine treatment costing as little as $25 can restore sight and hope.
