Orphan children being screened for refractive error in Pakistan.

The Fred Hollows Foundation has supported an eye screening camp for hundreds of orphan children in Islamabad, Pakistan.

  • Eye screening helps 170 Pakistani orphans with glasses and medication
  • Hundreds of children examined at local sports complex
  • Provides previously unavailable eye care services at vital time of kids education and development

The camp was held through the Khyber Eye Foundation, a local partner of The Foundation working in Pakistan – with funds also contributed by AusAID through the Pakistan-Australia Sub-speciality Eye Care (PASEC) project.

What we can do

Help keep Fred’s dream alive.

4 out of 5 people who are blind in the developing world don't need to be. Routine treatment costing as little as $25 can restore sight and hope.
